What is GRP and why do we use it?
Glass Reinforced Plastics (GRP) commonly known as fibreglass is a polyester material combined with glass fibre. The material strength is achieved by mixing polyester resin and glass fibres under strict conditions to avoid contamination. Once the surface has been prepared depending on applications, Glass fibres are applied into the resin in patterns to reinforce and increase structural integrity with each layer. This controlled method can be used to create varying strengths and flexibility required.

Brief history of GRP
