GRP Fibreglass Lining.

The most common question that we are asked is “What is GRP?”

What is GRP and why do we use it?

Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP),  commonly known as fibreglass is a polyester material combined with glass fibre. The material strength is achieved by mixing polyester resin and glass fibres under strict conditions to avoid contamination. Once the surface has been prepared depending on applications, Glass fibres are applied into the resin in patterns to reinforce and increase structural integrity with each layer. This controlled method can be used to create varying strengths and flexibility required.

The results speak for themselves, our GRP Lining Services deliver waterproofing solutions that are impact resistant, lightweight and a containment solutions that is guaranteed watertight.

Brief history of GRP

GRP Fibreglass, discovered in the late 1940’s. It was quickly adopted for a wide range of applications where its corrosive-proof properties associated with its high strength and excellent appearance.

Traditionally  GRP Fibreglass was for boats and motor manufacturing and is now used widely in industrial containment applications and high performance waterproof coatings for water storage tanks linings, building cladding panels, GRP Fibreglass Roofing and many more.
