Problem

A long-standing client returned to us with a 20ft steel shipping container requiring a robust GRP lining solution to protect against ongoing wear and environmental exposure.

Solution

As the container was brand new, only minimal preparation was required before installation could begin. Following our inspection and recommendations, the client agreed to the proposed GRP system and works were scheduled without delay.

Installation

Our team carried out the necessary mechanical preparation to ensure optimal adhesion across all internal surfaces. Once prepared, we installed a high-performance GRP laminate designed to deliver exceptional durability in demanding conditions.

Completion

Each layer was applied with precision, achieving uniform thickness, seamless transitions, and full encapsulation throughout. The installation included a 150mm GRP overlap taken up onto the container walls, providing enhanced waterproofing and long-term edge protection.

Feedback

The system was then completed with a chemically resistant topcoat to maximise longevity and ease of maintenance. The client now benefits from a fully waterproof, impact-resistant, and maintenance-friendly lining backed by our 10-year guarantee, further strengthening our ongoing relationship
