Problem

As a matter of urgency, LAM were contacted by the National Library and asked to attend site and survey the underground leaking fire sprinkler tank following reports of significant water loss.

Solution

On completion of the site survey, we detected the leak and identified the existing waterproof coating had failed and the tank was showing signs of significant deterioration causing substantial water loss that had the potential to weakening the footings that affect the structural integrity of the building.

Installation

Utilising grit blasting for surface preparation to remove the existing failed waterproofing liner and all surface contaminants, LAM completed the GRP lining works under an emergency 4- week programme.

Completion

Our team worked tirelessly to complete the GRP lining works with zero disruption to the building, and the client can now benefit from a fully watertight system backed by our comprehensive 10-year tank lining warranty.
